Canadian Dental Care Plan – Information for Patients
Our office is pleased to welcome patients covered under the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP). If you think you may qualify, you can apply directly through the Government of Canada’s website: https://www.canada.ca/en/services/benefits/dental/dental-care-plan/apply.html
Coverage and Limitations
Please note that the CDCP does not always cover 100% of treatment costs. Depending on your household income and the services provided:
You may be required to pay a co-payment at the time of your visit.
Some procedures may be partially covered or not covered under the plan.
Patients are responsible for any fees not paid by the CDCP.
Our team will gladly review your coverage details and provide estimates before treatment so you know what to expect.
What to Bring to Your Appointment
Please bring:
- Your CDCP approval letter or confirmation,
- Any additional dental insurance information you have.

Private Insurance
As a courtesy to our patients, our office offers direct billing to most third-party dental insurance providers. This means we will submit your claims electronically and receive payment directly from your insurer whenever possible. Please note that insurance plans vary widely, and while we do our best to provide accurate estimates, coverage is not guaranteed until the claim is processed. Any portion not covered by insurance—including co-pays, deductibles, or non-eligible services—will remain the patient’s responsibility. We kindly ask that you provide up-to-date insurance information at each visit to ensure accurate and timely processing.

To help avoid misunderstandings, we ask that all patients review and acknowledge our financial guidelines.
Payment Responsibility
Payment for all services is due at the time they are rendered unless prior arrangements have been made. Patients are responsible for all fees, regardless of insurance coverage or reimbursement. Our team is happy to assist you select the payment option that works best for your needs.
Insurance
As a courtesy, we will verify benefits and file insurance claims on your behalf. However, any insurance estimate given is not a guarantee of payment. Patients are responsible for any portion not covered by insurance, including deductibles, co-pays, and non-covered services.
Balances and Billing
Any remaining balance after insurance has processed a claim is due upon receipt of the statement. Accounts past due may be subject to late fees. If a balance remains unpaid, the account may be referred to a collection agency.

Cancellations and Missed Appointments
We kindly request at least 24 notice for appointment changes or cancellations. Missed appointments or late cancellations will be subject to a late cancellation fee.
